Website gives doctors information and easy to make appointment. Dr. Teh Beng Hock explains the illness patiently and clearly. Ward nurse can put on drip (amaze me coz my sister's vein is tiny). Have convenience stores and restaurants. Notice money changer on last day. Overall recommeded.

I have visited GKL for treatment several times. The doctors are good, and all my treatments have been successful. I have been treated by Dr. Paul Yap and Dr. Teh Beng Hock, who are both very kind and patient doctors, serving patients wholeheartedly. However, every time I receive treatment at GKL, I always have issues with the administration department. After the doctor decides a patient can be discharged from the ward, the waiting time to pay is extremely long, always exceeding 3 hours before I can complete the payment and leave the hospital. During my endoscopy last year, I was billed for an abdominal ultrasound that I never underwent. The refund process took days, even though they admitted it was a mistake. My most recent experience at GKL was during my surgery in January 2025. The doctor informed me that I could be discharged the next day. The following day, after the doctor came and confirmed my discharge, I had to wait over 4 hours to make the payment. After I left, I stayed in KL for a few more days. Upon returning home, the GKL administration sent a WhatsApp message stating that a fee for the anesthesiologist was missed and I needed to transfer the payment. I was very annoyed because it was very inconvenient. We tried to transfer, but the bank was closed for the Chinese New Year holiday. We informed them that we would transfer after the bank reopened and requested an invoice and official receipt for insurance claims. The admin replied that they would send it via email. However, after the transfer, I did not receive the official receipt and invoice in my email even after 3 days. I WhatsApped them but received no reply. I sought help from the International Patient Centre and was told it was not their responsibility and I had to email the front office. Apparently, this is how the administration works at GKL hospital – very chaotic, with no good system, and extremely disappointing.
