I had an accident on the morning of 23/4/25 while on my way to the office. I was sent to Hospital Kuala Lumpur (HKL) by ambulance and ended up stuck there for several hours. After enduring pain, undergoing X-rays, getting plaster casts on my leg, and seeing the overwhelming number of patients, I decided to transfer to Columbia Asia Hospital Petaling Jaya (HCPJ) for further treatment and surgery. I arrived at HCPJ around 10 p.m. The staff informed me that I would be undergoing surgery around 11:45 p.m. and began preparing me for the procedure. I was diagnosed with two serious conditions: an open wound and a fibula plateau fracture. I was assisted by the ambulance driver (Abang, whose name I unfortunately forgot) and two staff nurses. I was quite nervous, as this was my first major surgery. I still remember the positive attitude and motivation given by the ambulance driver and Nurse Atiqah Edham—it helped ease my worries and gave me confidence going into the surgery. In the operation room, anesthesiologist Dr. Basir Ahmad, surgeon Dr. Ong Kean Chao, and his partner Dr. Saifudin explained the procedure and its risks. The surgery was completed around 3 a.m., and I was then transferred to the ward to rest. I was admitted from 23/4/25 to 2/5/25—more than a week—and at times, the difficulty of walking was frustrating. The food was good, although sometimes a little too healthy for my taste! 😂 The nurses regularly checked my blood pressure and body temperature. There were also call buttons beside the bed and in the bathroom, which made it easy to ask for help. A heartfelt thank you to SN Atiqah Edham, SN Azleen, SN Alis, SN Hazriena, SN Asyikin, SN Fatin, SN Shahira, SN Careen, SN Natasha, SN Roqib, SN Assuida, SN Izati, PCA Yana, PCA Iffah, PCA Tharshini—and apologies if I missed anyone. You all made my stay easier and more positive during a very difficult time. You are true heroes. Thank you again for your care and hospitality. Best Regards, Johan

Went to Columbia Asia at their PJ branch to check up on my leg after an accident happened when playing football with my friends. Was referred to their bone dr as it seems they were good. In the end found out had a tear in ligament and had to be admitted . Drs were friendly and took time to explain the pro and cons of each procedure. During my stay , was referred to their physio department too. However their nurses was abit slow in cleaning the room when the other roommate left thus felt abit "non hygiene" as the room had all the rubbish and things the previous patient had left. Their receptionist was kind and very helpful the Chinese guy with spectacle which I din get his name. They should promote him for his effort.

Had a terrible mountain bike accident. Open fracture left distal end humerus. Close fracture dislocation of left index finger at level of PIPJ. In short, broke and shattered my elbow 🤣. Thanks to 2 great Orthopedic Surgeons (Advanced Musculoskeletal Trauma; Dr.Saifudin & Dr.Ong KC), 7x hours later, managed to LEGO my elbow back, so I don't need to replace my elbow 🦾 The experience I had during my days here in MD1 Ward 59, very very friendly and knowledgeable nurses and doctor. Unfortunately my swelling was not going away, and the nurses made sure I get the medication on time, ice was always replenished and almost all of them gave tips and tricks on how to reduce the swelling and helped me on it including the physio therapist. When the swelling finally start to go down, you can see the smile of relief by everyone of them. Not gonna name any nurses as ALL of them are GREAT. The only shortfall is the food, but the care from doctors and nurses made me feel at ease. Thanks to the doctor and nurses!!
