I would recommend this hospital to everyone, especially to foreigners seeking medical care in Kuala Lumpur. I arrived at the hospital on a Sunday afternoon through the emergency entrance and was attended to promptly. Although my condition wasn't immediately critical, I was quickly given an electrocardiogram, X-rays of my lungs, blood tests, and a COVID-19 test. The professionalism during these initial assessments was commendable. I stayed several days at the Pantai Hospital for treatment and was extremely pleased with the care I received. The staff's attentiveness and the quality of care contributed significantly to my swift recovery. I would like to extend special thanks to: Dr. Mohamed Seenikatty Abdul Hakim for his professional yet personal approach that provided comfort throughout my treatment process. Mr. Zahin Hilmy for his valuable assistance with lung massages and breathing techniques, which were also key for my recovery. With gratitude, However the Billing departement was a very frustrating experience. Despite informing the billing staff about my travel insurance coverage for all medical expenses, I was still required to pay a substantial deposit of 5,000 ringgit upon admission. My insurance company sent the confirmation letter the day following my admission but no refund of my deposit was made. Upon discharge, I encountered another billing issue: I was asked to pay an additional 6,500 ringgit before I could get my take home medication and leave the hospital. This request came without clear explanation or breakdown of charges, especially since my insurance was supposed to cover these costs. The overall billing experience added significant stress and inconvenience to what should have been a straightforward process of being discharged after recovery.
