*Complaint against Dr Ong B** H*** professional and attitude at Kedah Medical Centre* I went to KMC to see Dr Ong due to having headache frequently. This is a Chinese consultant on duty. The consultant is having a really bad attitude upon attending to me, first he questions about my gender as my short hairstyle looks as a male, where he can actually refer my gender to the biodata in the computer system if he is professional enough in assessing a patient. I feel quite offended when he added a sentence to me indicated that" cause you look like a male",somemore my mother is still at my side, I feel like been humiliated, not only myself and for my mother as well. Next, after knowing that my job is a nurse working at general hospital, he questioned and surprised that there is still Chinese Female nurses working in general hospital nowadays. Again, I feel offended as there is no races difference in nursing field. in fact, nursing is a broad diversity from people of different races and ethnicity joining this career. As a nurse, I feel humiliated again as Doctor as a professional is looking down at this nursing career where he doesn't realize that nurses forms the biggest manpower of healthcare system and they assist Doctor like him as well. Moreover, I am a patient who would like to seek for his advice for my healthcare issues but not treat me as his personal assistant nurse in his own office. I don’t know what happened to him, probably he was having a bad day, or anything else. But I believe that this is not an excuse to treat a patient this rude way, this is also kind of spoiling the good image and reputation of Kedah Medical Centre. I hope you would take necessary actions so that the management team in charge can help to improve the quality of patients service, so that the future patients won’t experience what I had experienced again. Appreciate for your reading and helping, thank you Five stars rate so that can seek for your attention and public's awareness
