Dr Lai Hou Yee

Dr. Lai Hou Yee is a highly qualified Consultant Anaesthesiologist and Pain Medicine specialist at Sunway Medical Centre. He holds an MBBS (2001) and a Master's in Anaesthesiology (2010) from the University of Malaya. His expertise is further enhanced by his Fellowship in Chronic Pain Management from Mount Sinai Hospital in Toronto, Canada (2015). Dr. Lai has considerable experience, having served as a Consultant Anaesthesiologist at the University of Malaya Specialist Centre (2014-2017) and as a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Anaesthesiology at the University of Malaya (2011-2017), even receiving the Best Lecturer award in 2017. He is multi-lingual, speaking English, Bahasa Malaysia, Mandarin, and Cantonese, which allows him to connect with a diverse range of patients. His focus includes perioperative management, chronic pain management, and procedures including ultrasound guided regional anesthesia and interventional pain management.
