Dr. Kevin Ng Wei Shan is a highly skilled anaesthesiologist and critical care specialist at UM Specialist Centre, also serving in academic roles at the University of Malaya. He completed his medical degree (MD) at Universiti Putra Malaysia in 2007, and specialised by obtaining his Master of Anaesthesiology (MAnaes) from Universiti Malaya in 2015. His areas of interest include patient blood management (PBM) and paediatric anaesthesia, and he is involved in research and teaching in these fields. He has experience in clinical and operating theatre settings, including pediatric cases, as well as in the intensive care environment. Outside of direct clinical work, Dr. Kevin is active in medical governance and advocacy: he serves on national committees promoting optimal blood usage perioperatively, and works on welfare issues for medical officers and specialists through professional bodies.
