I would like to share the unpleasant event I encountered in Dr Hiew Fu Liong’s clinic at Sunway Medical Centre, Tower D-6-03, 6th Floor. 1) My Mom (Age: 80 years old) was having MRI appointment at your Sunway Medical Centre on 5-Jun-2025, 1pm and we were told that the report would take 1 hour to be ready. But until 5.30pm, we were still waiting for the report from Radiology Department and the whole 6th floor was empty without any patients. 2) My mom was freezing even wearing a jacket; hence I ask the nurse at Dr Hiew Fu Liong’s clinic to chase for the report. But, every time I ask, she just give me a cold tone - no report yet and continue chit chatting with one guy (not wearing Sunway Medical Centre uniform) and eating snack. 3) For a second, we thought we were in Government Hospital! To quote government hospital could be disrespectful to them, as most nurse if not all in government hospital might even more professional and polite than this nurse! 4) After waited for more than 2 hours at the Dr Hiew Fu Liong’s clinic and my mom was shivering, and I can’t take it anymore, I raised my concern to another nurse in the Clinic. 5) At this very moment, only she said the report is ready and Dr Hiew Fu Liong is on his way coming up to the clinic. Dr Hiew Fu Liong shown up minutes later and witnessed my complaints. He appeared unhappy and asked in unpolite tone whether I still want to see the report or not. 6) Thereafter, we went in to see the report. Within 1 minute, Dr Hiew Fu Liong said this is not in his area of expertise and ask us to see Orthopaedic. 7) I ask him to refer us to the Orthopaedic and he called someone on speaker. 8) The Doctor on the phone told him that he already out from office and asks whether it can wait and Dr Hiew Fu Liong then said can’t wait and must see the doctor now. 9) The Doctor on the phone then asks what’s the emergency and Dr Hiew Fu Liong said in sarcastic tone that the patient is in severe pain now and repeat in multiple times. 10) From the 1st moment we met the Doctor, we were chatting in Mandarin and Cantonese due to the presence of my mom. And his attitude was so arrogant like he think he is the "Orang Atas" and we are nobody. Hence, when he talked to the Doctor on phone in English, he was thinking we did not understand English. 11) Immediately after I hear Dr Hiew Fu Liong said in sarcastic tone that my mom is in severe pain, I said in English “pls stop bullshitting, my mom is not in severe pain now” 12) Then, he said I’m using vulgar word and asks nurse to call for security and threatening me to apologize to him and his staffs, else he will not let me leave the Clinic. 14) Under such circumstances and my mom was shivering, I have no choice but to say sorry. Yet, he still doesn’t want to let me go, and said my apology is not sincere and forced me to apologize 1 by 1 to his staff again. So, raising my concern on the delay of the report and telling to Dr Hiew Fu Liong that he is lying are not allowed in Sunway Medical Centre? Am I in premium private hospital or Gangster Hospital? I’m paying premium price to Sunway Medical Centre, yet the service I’m getting is worse than Government Hospital. I've made the complaint to Sunway Medical Centre on 6-Jun-2025, and there is no response from them for coming to 2 months! Pls. think twice before you visit this Doctor and Sunway Medical Centre!

Dr Hiew is an attentive and friendly neurologist who listen to his patient's need. Any questions arose can communicate via his nurse through WhatsApp which provide swift response and eases patient's concern and save time. Highly recommend.

Dr Hiew , neurologist is one of the best Dr I ever had , superb skill , treat patients kindly despite his serious outlook. I am really confident and feel safe under hus care . His nurse Ms Loke is diligent, patient and accommodative in answering the questions we had. Highly recommended

Good customer services, professional hardworking doctor (Dr Hiew Fu Liong) that attended me in all my needs even after usual working hours. Good dietitian (4 times per day) serves me with big portion and very balance diet. My body, skin are healthy each time consumed the meals. Friendly physiotherapists(Mr Tan) and nurses too. Am in very safe hands and felt secure each time I got warded here. (Warded 8-9 days) *There is room of improvement such as the bathroom need to maintain better on its shower and sink, a hair dryer, more toiletries ranges given especially to lady patient like us who is also having long hairs. I feel the service here is tip-top, the neurologist Dr Hiew is very attentive to my case, I am glad to receive treatment here. Also, the female radiologist who assisted me during my MRI brain scan. Keep up all the good works!
