I had a very unpleasant experience during my first visit with Dr. Lee, a ******* specialist at Gleneagles. I approached him to consult on a health concern and asked about the possibility of issuing a Guarantee Letter (GL) for insurance purposes. Instead of guiding me professionally, he reacted in a very rude and defensive manner. He immediately claimed that issuing a GL under certain conditions would be considered fraudulent, and that doing so would result in a police report, jail time, and legal consequences. He raised his voice and repeatedly asked, “If I go to jail, do you still want me to do it? Would you do it if you were me?”, saying this multiple times in a confrontational and emotionally charged tone. As a first-time patient, I was shocked and felt like I was being targeted unfairly — it seemed like he was taking out his frustration from a previous case, where another patient couldn’t claim their insurance and blamed him for it. That anger was clearly misdirected toward me. To make things worse, the consultation, which lasted barely a few minutes and involved no proper discussion, cost me RM180. When I tried to continue asking questions, he shut me down and said he had other patients waiting, effectively rushing me out of the room. This felt less like healthcare and more like being processed on a conveyor belt.

This Hospital is A great hospital and I always come to this hospital for me and my kids I went to Dr. Vernon (for my kids) and lots of skin specialists and Samira helped me translated everything and helped me book appointments and Samira is helpful and has a kind heart. Samira books for me appointments, and she answers my messages and calls very quickly. She even tells me the test results quickly and when they first come out. She is kind, fast, and always happy. 🌸
