I visited the Emergency Department at Gleneagles at 12:00am on Tuesday after an accident. The doctor informed me that my X-ray results from radiology would be ready by Wednesday or Thursday. However, by Thursday I had not received any update or confirmation from the hospital, yet I received a WhatsApp message asking me to rate their service. During my visit, I also experienced a very long waiting time — from around midnight until 6:00am (six hours) just to determine whether I would be admitted. This was extremely disappointing, as I expected faster and more efficient service from a private hospital. Unfortunately, the experience was even slower than at some government hospitals. To make matters worse, there was inconsistency in the diagnosis. A clinic doctor initially diagnosed me with two fractured ribs, but at Gleneagles I was told otherwise. The attending doctor explained that the report would be referred to radiology for confirmation by a specialist. In the meantime, I continue to suffer pain with every movement, cough, or sneeze, without any clear update on my condition. Overall, I found the service to be unacceptably slow, communication poor, and the patient experience very unsatisfactory for a private hospital. I sincerely hope Gleneagles will improve its service standards, communication, and efficiency for future patients.
