This was a very bad experience for me. I went to the hospital, because I needed an endoscopy as I have severe problem swallowing. I had an appointment with Dr Alex Leow. First I had to wait almost an hour, even though I had an appointment. Dr Alex was very nice and I had the feeling very experienced. He straight away sent me to the emergency room and said he would do an endoscopy and colonoscopy the next morning. I was extremely happy and went to the ER. They gave me a drip and the doctors and nurses there were also very friendly. I was sitting there getting my drip when suddenly a lady came to me and said that I have to pay a bond of 5000 MYR before I get the procedure and it will cost around 10000 MYR. This was a shock to me. I had the same procedure three years ago in Germany and it was only one third of what they wanted to have. I also have never heard that you have to pay such a high bond. Another patient came to me and said they tried to get 1000 MYR from him for a bond, but after he talked to his insurance company he only paid 300 MYR. I started to cry so badly as I had the feeling they were screwing me over. I then left the hospital. Nobody told me before that it would be so expensive. I am now getting the same procedure done tomorrow for just 2500 MYR. What a difference.

We visit first in hope to see expert like Dr.Alex for Gastroenteritis issue that keep occurrence with fever and nausea , I booked the appointment with my brother then we visit and they reject due to slightly increase of temperature 37.5 and they refer us to Emergency Unit. They did not mentioned it if fever can't meet doctor. We wasting our time. When we go to Emergency they wondering why doctor ask us because when they check all temperature just fine 37, it seems that due to hot weather. Then we meet GP Doctor and he ask for Ultra sound, after long waiting he said it still not clear for result and ask for CT scan to get better view, since it's pretty costly we discuss and then we agree in hope to get it detected. We back home as it was quite night we there since 3pm-8.30pm. They said specialist closed and report will be send tomorrow. We wait for 3 day and finally we get the report but need to see Dr.Alex to consult. We though that we might find the diagnose and temporary medication unfortunately Dr.Alex also unsure about CT scan result, he seems don't know what's going on and ask us to do another sample by doing both colonoscopy and gastroscopy. Total price would be around 4000rm. Due to no insurance covered we just ask for letter and left the dissatisfaction because we are spending so much money, around 2500rm++ for both consultation, ultra sound and CT scan but did not get proper diagnose and medication, this is not including long queue wait in Emergency department and people frustrated. They ask for colonoscopy but can't do due to budget and costly , we also not sure if we did this and that will doctor will find the answer. Don't they have some observation and further analysis in place before sending patient for this and that, end up spending so much money and did not get my diagnose. So frustating!
