Last year I had to get medical treatment for serious issues of my right lung in SJMC. After having been warded twice, the problem of water retention recurred. On the 3rd admission, my attending doctor (Dr. Ronald) suggested surgery as a last resort to remove the growth that was causing water retention in my lung. He then named Dr. Kenny as the surgeon to do this delicate procedure if I consented and arranged for Dr. Kenny to meet me. I was taken aback when Dr. Kenny came to the ward the next day as requested by Dr. Ronald. He looked young, contrary to my perception that experience comes with age. Well, after he briefed me of the procedures involved, I was confident Dr. Kenny can do it. More so, when he asked me to think about it and don't rush into it, my family felt relieved too that we have such doctors in SJMC who are ethical in their profession. I decided the next day to fix surgery the following month, Nov 2022. The day before surgery, I was admitted to prepare for surgery and Dr. Kenny explained the procedures that would be carried out. The operation went on smoothly and visited me in ICU (post-surgery) to ensured everything was fine. Thank you very much, Dr. Kenny Cheng. Patient: Yap C. Heng

Recently, I received excellent care from the oral surgery department, and my son from the ophthalmology and pediatric surgery departments. The interpreters, Sugawara-san and Takahashi-san, selected and introduced the appropriate doctor based on the patient's symptoms, and responded promptly and courteously to all of my inquiries via email, including after treatment. Thanks to them, both my son and I were able to receive treatment with peace of mind, and we were very satisfied with all of the treatment. All of the doctors we saw were wonderful. Thank you so much. I plan to continue receiving your care as long as I'm in Malaysia.
