Specialist were very good no doubt (Dato Goh, Prof Darmendra, Prof Ida and Prof Firdaus) Staffs were good except the Male caterer and neuro lab Male staff (in ward and neuro lab)should ask permission to get in due to women aurat. Admission took very long(4h) but has pre admission longue to chill out watching tv series. Umsc website is the best, better than any other private hospitals .Very easy to book appoinment and see doctors' slot availability .Kudos. Overall satisfied with the service.

Went to UMSC for the first time but didn’t anticipated this kind of treatment. Services from UMSC were quite ok. The indigestible attitude came from the neurologist, Prof. Dr Tan Kay Sin. Hoping to get some professional and kind advice but instead was thrown with sarcastic remarks and kept on highlighting that UMSC is a private hospital, meaning needs lots of money, when he got to know that previously we were from Klang Hospital. Initially I thought he was being kind to let us know that it’ll be pricey but instead he enlightened us that UMSC is not a charity organisation, like as if we were so ignorant. This reputable doctor didn’t even bother to listen to the patient. All he did was saying “do tests” when the patient didn’t even finish the first line of complaints of bodily pain. Understood. Tests help. Doesn’t a doctor needs to listen first, then explain and give advice before taking the next steps? If the patient knows what’s wrong with her, why would the patient come to a specialist? Anyways, then he got frustrated when we objected to all the tests that were recommended to us by him. So, he forced us to take up a Bp tests. We told him thanks but no, but he ignored us and starts to tell his nurse to go ahead and book the test. Luckily, when we talk to the nurse after that, she understood and did not book. After all those 15 minutes of humiliations, we have to pay him RM235 ( so called consultation fee). A very angry and sad day where we can’t do anything except to write a complaint. Zero Tolerance posters were all over the building but it doesn’t seem to cover the betterment of patients.
