Dr Tan Lian Huat

Dr. Tan Lian Huat is a highly experienced specialist in Infectious Diseases and Internal Medicine at Sunway Medical Centre. With qualifications including a Doctor of Medicine from Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (1994) and a Master of Internal Medicine from University of Malaya (2001), he brings over 30 years of medical experience since graduation. Dr. Tan has a deep clinical focus on managing general infectious diseases, tropical infections, HIV/AIDS, and other acute and chronic illnesses. His extensive background includes roles as a Medical Registrar, Clinical Specialist, Senior Lecturer, and Consultant Physician at University Malaya Medical Centre before joining Sunway Medical Centre. He is proficient in English, Bahasa Malaysia, Mandarin, and Hokkien, allowing him to connect effectively with a diverse patient population.
