Dr Koay Cheng Boon

Dr. Koay Cheng Boon is a highly experienced Ear, Nose & Throat (ENT), Head & Neck Surgeon specializing in Cochlear Implants at Sunway Medical Centre. He is fluent in English, Bahasa Malaysia, Mandarin, and Hokkien. He received his MBBS from the University of London and holds multiple FRCS (Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons) qualifications from England, including FRCS in Surgery, Otolaryngology and ORL-HNS. Dr. Koay's postgraduate training includes time as a Senior Registrar in ORL-HNS in Oxford and Reading, UK, and a Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery Fellowship in the USA (University of Illinois and University of Indianapolis).[2] He also served as an Associate Professor & Consultant in ENT at UPM & HKL in Malaysia.[2] His specializations includes cochlear implants, mastoid surgery, thyroid surgery, head & neck cancer & reconstructive surgery, endoscopic sinus surgery, balloon sinoplasty, nasal septal and rhinoplastic surgery, voice prosthesis, and microlaryngoscopic procedures.
