This is my 10th time warded at the PCMC since 2015. All i can say that the admission process were swift and i sailed through at an ease. Special thanks to Dr Daniel Lee (Respiratory Specialist) for his extreme politeness, gentle demeanour whom i fondly remembered as the "Smiling Doctor" and his trusted winglady Nurse Vasuki, Dr Suresh for being so friendly and took an effort to sit on the sofa while talking to me so we can talk at an eye level and respecting my privacy by dismissing the nurse to avoid me feeling awkward when explaining my family health history, Ward 5C Nurse Fazidah, Dalilah, Natasya, Nurin and 1 particular nurse who i cannot get her name because she did not wear her staff name card. Assistant nurses were also super friendly, all F&B staffs with special shout out to Farhana who is full of empathy and understanding, the housekeeping team who is very polite and full of courtesy. Even Ms Punitha of Billing Department is also very accommodative. Special shout out also went to Dr Shahrin for his sweet, gentle and full of empathy assuring voice as well as choosing my favourite cannula which is pink. There are few nurses @Ward 5C as well as doctors in PCMC (no names mentioned) who seriously in dire needs for re-training on good bedside manners, courtesy, basic knocking and introducing themselves before entering inside the room (since it is extremely sensitive for hijab wearing Muslim lady to be seen without her hijab) and there is no way to know who enters the room behind the curtain. The room is a patient's privacy and nobody appreciate a doctor or nurse barging into the privacy of patient's room by calling patients on first name basis and condescending judgmental looked down attitude issues with zero empathy especially dealing with ill patient. Nobody can afford to be sick and expected to doll up like attending an Oscar after event party or able to answer all questions articulately when that patient is having difficulty to even breathe let alone talking or walking. Apart from that unfortunate events, even the Sister overseeing Ward 5C was respectful. Signing off, patient of Room 7 Ward 5C.
