About Doctor
Dr. Koh Peng Soon is a highly skilled surgeon specializing in hepatobiliary (liver, bile duct, pancreas) and upper gastrointestinal (GI) surgery at UMSC. He obtained his MBBS from the International Medical University in 2002, demonstrating solid formative training. He became a Member of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh (UK) in 2005, a credential that reflects strong exposure to international surgical standards. Later, he earned his Masters of Surgery (MSurg) from Universiti Malaya in 2010. To further refine his expertise, Dr. Koh spent a year (2013-2014) in Hong Kong at Queen Mary Hospital with the Division of Hepatobiliary & Pancreatic Surgery and Liver Transplantation, which is well known for its advanced HPB (hepatobiliary and pancreatic) and transplant work. This overseas fellowship provided him with experience in liver transplantation and complex HPB malignancies. Clinically, his practice includes treating cancers of the liver, biliary tract, and pancreas, and managing minimally invasive surgical techniques in HPB surgery.
