Thanks Dr Paul Yap for his expertise on performing an Endoscopy procedure on me without me being frightened away since I have NEVER done anything before to "explore" or check in my Internal organ. After a visit to Dr Nick Cheong (an Internal Medicine Doctor) for my regular discomfort in my stomach, he suggested me to see Dr Paul Yap for a more thorough scan into my internal organ for a clearer details. Given 2 packets of "isotonic taste like" powder form to mix with water in 1 litre, drink 250ml in every 15mins & finish up 1 packet at night before & 1 on the same day early morning before the procedure, with fasting after early dinner the night before. Only about 2 times at night & 2 times in the morning I went to toilet to pass out the left over food in my stomach & intestine. From brown colour to yellowish clear diluted pass out, my stomach & intestines are clean & ready for the procedure. A small syringe with 2 outlets are inserted into my forehand. One outlet for blood sample & one for "sleeping liquid". Was asked to curled side way like a baby position with my buttock towards right end (for rectum inner check), & face facing Left with a hard rubber mouth piece (a tiny hole in the middle for camera tube to go thru my throat & into my stomach area). 2 drops bitter liquid were drop in my mouth before I was asked to "bite" the hard rubber. The moment "sleeping liquid " go through my forehand blood vein, I was sleeping like a baby in a short time. Was told by Dr Paul Yap, the rectum & throat telescoping process only took about 30 mins to perform without I felt anything went through me. I was awake about 30 mins later & found i am back to my Ward. Beside slight tiredness & minor discomfort on my throat, I am feeling great just like after travelling. After having my lunch & rested for 1 hour, I drove myself back home without any difficulties. Worth the visit & a pleasant Endoscopy procedure by Dr Paul Yap. Thanks, Dr Paul Yap.
