My mother Cheah You, was admitted to Island Hospitcal Penang from 11/12/2022 to 23/12/2022, her ward number was 7102. We would like to express our gratitudes towards Night shift nurses name Logeswari, eveline, phik hoon and adeline for how professional and dedicated they were towards my mother. During the time while my mom was admitted, these nurses have been extremely patient and caring towards my mom. They are not only very attentive, but they went out of their way to comfort my mother and kept encouraging my mom and assuring her that she is on her way of recovery. My mom want me to delicate a special thanks to Logeswari due to her caring act of showering my mom after few days of admission. Prof Wong ( surgeon) & Dr Ng ( Ortho) are just amazing. They are so professional , lovely and helpful. You both made my days. We are deeply appreciative towards their kindness and we would like to take this opportunity to share this with you. All the best

Overall i have had good experience bringing my baby boy to island for check up. I also delivered my baby here and the service was good. Recently I was admitted for appendix surgery at A&E and the staff response and registration was very fast and smooth. The only downside which I experience recently was the follow-up to my surgery with Prof Dr Wong who is a good and efficient surgeon. I passed my card to the nurse at the clinic who did not mentioned I would need to register at the lobby. I only found out after sitting outside of the clinic for 2 hours. I had to wait for another 2 hours as i was the last to register despite being one of the early arrivals. My mistake was assuming the registration would be done by the nurse, which was the process done by my paediatrician Dr Hwang. The nurse took my card in the morning without mentioning anything, prompting me to wait for additional unnecessary hours. Perhaps would be good for the hospital to put a signage outside each clinic to show registration process as different doctors may have different process. *update: received a surprise call from island hospital a day after i posted this, who will schedule my next appointment for me. Appreciate the extra service in response to my comment here
