Dr. Ramesh A/L K Gurunathan is a highly skilled and experienced Upper Gastrointestinal Tract Surgeon at Sunway Medical Centre, with over 28 years of experience. He specializes in a variety of procedures, including Esophageal Surgery, Appendectomy, Cholecystectomy, Gastric bypass, Gastric sleeve, and other general surgeries. Dr. Gurunathan has received training both locally and internationally, including subspecialty training in Upper Gastrointestinal surgery from Sanjay Gandhi Postgraduate Institute in India, and Queen Alexandra Hospital in England. He also holds a Fellowship from the Royal College of Surgeons of Ireland. Dr. Gurunathan is fluent in English, Tamil, and Bahasa Malaysia, and founded the first Stomach Cancer Support Group in Malaysia.
