Followed up for my third pregnancy with Dr Imelda Balchin. The service and care provided were outstanding. The appointments were managed efficiently by the friendly clinic assistant, Ms Afiqah. Dr Imelda made sure her patient understand all options & risk involved. She gave a thorough explanation for each of the option and counselled accordingly. The delivery process was smooth, she handled unexpected situation very professionally. The hospital room was clean and comfortable. All nursing staff are so helpful and competent. All in all, a very pleasant experience of maternity care in this hospital.

I am taking care of my husband at room 415 who had undergone a brain tumor surgery. Since admitted, the service is superb. The doctors-in-charge; Dato’ Dr Zurin Adnan (neurosurgeon) and Datin Dr Wahida (anestesiologist) have been very professional and so caring to my husband. After the surgery, my husband had been placed at the ICU for 4 days and I was very satisfied with the service of the staff at the ICU. They have done outstandingly good job. Now he is in the ward and as expected, not only the facilities are good but the staff are exceptionally 👍🏻 Besides, as the patient’s guardian, the hospital is not at all a boring place, once a while I would spend my time at Kreate cafe and Coffee Beans. Congratulations KPJ Damansara and keep up the good work!

I was admitted into KPJ Damansara Specialist Hospital on 26/5 due to a stroke I suffered after a bleed on my right brain. Due to initial paralysis on my left side and continued high BP, I was admitted into the ICU for 5 days and then into the regular ward for the following 2 months. During this time, the care I received from my doctors (Dr Zurin, Dr Izwan (assisting Dr Zurin) and Dr Tiang), nursing staff at the surgical ward and rehab staff. I have written about this in an earlier review post discharge but want to highlight in this review on the amazing support I received from the rehab team at KPJ. When I was hospitalized, the important first rehab sessions I received from the very sympathetic, caring and knowledgeable Physios Alannah and Izyani that first worked with me as well as my first OT Amani really helped me regain my strength and psychological confidence to walk and make an effort to move my arm, hand and fingers again. Shah and Faisal who used to pushed me down to the rehab rooms daily also always encouraged me and cheered me on. They and the other Physios (Danish, Ziela,, Nurul, Aainaa and Ikhwan) and OT (Nabilah) I worked with were all so encouraging, supportive and professional in the delivery of rehab treatment that in just 2 months after my stroke, I was able to regain good control of my left affected leg to walk steadily with a quad stick and climb stairs. I also regained movement of my affected arm some good limited movement of my left hand and fingers. Special thanks to Aainaa, Ikhwan and Nabilah who helped me a lot just before my discharge. I enjoyed not only my sessions but my many interesting conversations with them during my sessions. All of them individually and collectively as a great team as put me in a good position upon my discharge to transition into life at home again in a good way. I still continue monthly sessions with Nabilah and weekly sessions with Ikhwan as I still find them enjoyable, useful and helpful for my overall progress , even though I have had to move to another hospital for rehab more suitable to my critical stage of stroke recovery (KPJ specializes more in the acute stage of stroke for the first few weeks). I wish to thank rehab team for helping me to largely regain my life again, after my life changing stroke.
