Prof. Datuk Dr. Sabarul Afian Mokhtar is a distinguished Senior Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon with a subspecialty in Spine Surgery, renowned for his expertise in the ageing spine, spinal disorders, pain management, and osteoporosis. He is a Professor at Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM) and heads the Department of Orthopaedics and Traumatology at UKM and Hospital Canselor Tuanku Muhriz. A pioneer in spinal research, he holds a PhD from Macquarie University and has held significant leadership roles, including Past President of the Malaysia Spine Society and President Elect of the Malaysian Orthopaedic Association.
