Dr Tang Boon Nee is amazing. She truly cares for the patients and takes time to explain everything in detail and with so much care. Even her nurses are so caring. Makes you feel so comfortable. Anyone looking for a gynecologist, I would highly recommend Dr Tang

I came in for an emergency chest pain and later was diagnosed with stomach ulcers and fibroids and had to undergo laproscopic whole hysterectomy. I was very well treated and taken care by caring and attentive Dr Tang Boon Nee (Gynae), Datin Dr Sharmila (Gastro) & Dr Navin (Cardio). Thank you to all nurses at the ER and Ward 3 Post Natal too! Service is always fast and attentive. Food & Service Chitra, complete the days with her happy greetings every meal time, keep up the great team work SJMC!

Many doctors I’ve seen before from SJMC are awesome such as Dr Lee Say Fatt, Dr Tang Boon Nee, Dr Goon to name a few. But of course there are bad eggs such as Dr Chandran the ENT outpatient doctor whom I saw today who removed two micro bit of ear wax from my outer ear and prescribed Aerius tablets and the bill amounted to Rm1,107.90. When I went back to see the doctor, he asked me how much I was willing to pay to which I replied that consultation and removing simple ear wax should not be more than RM350 and the total should be less than RM500 considering and understanding that it’s a hospital, which he agreed. However when the bill came back it was not as agreed. It still came up to a total of RM6** and the nurse said the doctor did not agree and it was not expensive. After which she asked me to speak to the manager (whom I did not get the name as he was wearing a white shirt but without a name tag) and his reply was let him check with the doctor as it was ‘up to the doctor to state his price’. This is the unethical part I find of the doctor, nurse and manager. They cover up for each other. Although in the end the price for consultation and removal of ear wax was reduced to RM357 and the total was reduced to RM490, I still feel that this matter of unethical behaviour and handling of this sort of behaviour should be brought to the attention of the hospital and the public-charging unreasonably exorbitantly on part of the doctor and telling the patient that ‘let me check with the doctor as it is up to them to charge’ is not the right method of handling on part of the ‘manager’ as well. It does not make sense that for a simple ear wax removal, the doctor split it into two irrelevant codes namely removal of foreign object and suction cleaning amounting to RM370 for each. It is also amusing that he defined ear wax as a foreign object in the bill. And mine was also to do with the outer ear not the middle ear. Am doing my part as a patient and long standing customer to bring this issue to light but it is up to you if you wish to keep your unethical doctors as this will eventually affect the culture of your hospital.

Dr Maylene Kok was rude, impatient and sarcastic when I ask questions regarding my condition and other option treatments. She acted proud and haughty and goes defensive mode belittle me which I m confused on what she get from being like this. I am not her punching bag nor a place for her to show off I m just a patient in pain in need of treatment. And If I am well aware regarding medical knowledge I wouldn’t have come to see her I would be doctor myself. She even impatient when do body assessing on me with clearly irritated and rude remarks. I was weak due to pain and of coz definitely less focus due to it and light headed, instead assisting me she turn agitated and rudely making sarcastic remarks and ordering me around like I a slave. She action definitely no difference from the bullies with her behavior taking advantage of weak mentally physically attacking me for no reason probably using me as her punching bag. I didn’t argue with her coz I didn’t want cause a scene, she behaved uncivilized but I don’t want mirror her, and no point argue with a narcissist person, and also my condition was bad. I just walk out politely and leave for good. Only the positive note, her nurse, an Indian girl was really polite, helpful and kind. I need address this seriously, U have great doctors like Dr Tang Boon Nee and Dr Lim Boon Ping definitely a stark contrast level of professionalism and passion. No one deserves be someone punching bag more over it’s a person u seek their professional treatment from. It’s really sad a doctor supposedly to assist and treat you instead the one attacking u. Hope hospital management take serious note on this.

Had a pleasant experience on my first appointment with Dr Tang. Administrative staff and nurses were warm and friendly as well. Reason was because, I came for a preliminary check-up, as was experiencing symptoms relating to a particular issue. So thought best to get it checked. Appreciate how thorough she was in her explanation of what I'm currently going thru and next course of action(s) to take while assuring all is well. Overall, the visit was a great one and would definitely recommend.
