Rude & unprofessional doctor, administrative staff and poor process Mom has been seeing Dr Ramesh for many years primarily for high BP. 2 years ago there was another medical problem which required her to go for a minor surgery with a specialist at another hospital but unable to secure a clearance letter from Dr Ramesh who insisted she do it at UMSC so he could be "there" for her in case her high BP escalates during surgery. He recommended his colleague at UMSC and they both agreed to do this op under GA to manage Mom's anxiety and high BP. After doing my own research I realized this was unnecessary and irresponsible as GA is risky especially on elderly people with serious medical conditions . However when I raised this concern with Dr Ramesh and expresed concern about his colleague therefore asked him again for a clearance letter to do the op at another hospital he becane extremely agitated, defensive and rude and told me it was the first time anyone had ever "questioned" him. Quite nasty. I was frankly taken aback by his reaction. Long story short my mom eventually did the simple op without GA and coincidentally when we changed cardiologists we realized her medical issue is in fact low BP . She has now stopped taking the BP medication prescribed to her for years by Dr Ramesh. As many other reviewers have commented, the administrative process at UMSC is unnecessarily time consuming with the deposit payment. The nurses at the counter on respective floor are also rude. Only the nurses at the registration/deposit counter are pleasant. Entrance guards are generally unhelpful - they stand and watch not bothering to open car door or assist with an elderly patient for people like me who need to drop off the patient first before parking the car.

This is my first time in UMSC and the experience that I encountered with UMSC (all divisions especially Dr Preba, Dr Ramesh and pharmacist Ms Nagadarishini Muru) was just extraordinary. The staffs showed a lot of passions in their jobs and they treated me with kindness and made me feel so relax and I believe such feeling will surely expedite my recovery. Cheers and thank you to everyone in UMSC
