Came SVMC for twice: Apr 2023 Sent my hubby to the A&E due to having difficulty in breathing. Dr on duty diagnosed him for a sudden heart attack outburst, hence immediate surgery is required. All medical practitioners act professionally and promptly to lower down my hubby BP from more than 200 to an acceptable level prior to the angioplasty and stenting process. I was told the whole process will took around 45-60 min and I truly felt helpless at the outside of the surgery room. It’s freezing cold and I cannot do anything but to wait. I walked in and out every 10 minutes, no one was there to inform me upon the completion of the surgery. I was like an ant on the hotpot to keep asking the medical staff when there is someone walking in or out, finally got to know the surgery had completed and my hubby already sent to HDU for monitoring and will be transferring to normal ward when stabilise. My humble suggestion : Patient’s family only allow to wait at the waiting hall, hence there should be someone to walk to the waiting hall to notify the patient family upon the completion of the surgery/ operation. Otherwise it really feels awkward. Anyway, I would still like to send my heartily gratitude and thanks to Dr Tee Chee Hian and the team for saving my hubby’s life! ❤️🙏🏻 Sep 2024 Both my kids diagnosed with Influenza A by a clinic Dr nearby my house, but only my son was required for an immediate hospitalisation whilst my daughter was asked to monitor at home. I opt for SVMC and Dr Simon Foo assisted my son to redo all over the test, the result was negative for Influenza A and meantime was infected with salmonella and mycoplasma. Dr Foo is an observant, obedient and responsive paediatric. Thanks a bunch for his initiative for arranging another 2 bedded room for my kids when knowing my concern about my daughter might be infected with the same virus as both viruses are contagious. He cares a lot about my son due to his skinny body size with poor appetite. He is taking good care of my son nutrition intake and make sure my son drank the milk sample that he gave and keep monitor closely on his situation. Same goes to my girl. Nurses in the ward (10A) all are great and kind. My son having phobia in taking medicine and he used to complete one medicine (solely 5ml) in an hour, however by the time he discharged, he manage to finish all the medicine in 5-10 mins. It’s a huge improvement for him! He ate a lot now and gain 2kg after he discharge.
