Prof Emeritus Dato' Dr Ikram Shah Ismail is one of Malaysia’s foremost experts in Endocrinology & Diabetology, renowned for his deep clinical experience, high-academic credentials, and leadership in research and education. He earned his medical degree from the University of Queensland, then trained in endocrinology/diabetes in the UK, including obtaining MRCP (UK) in 1989. He completed his PhD from the University of Wales in 1993 with a thesis on hypothalamic regulation in diabetes.
