To whom it may concern, My mother is a regular patient with Endocrinologist Prof Ikram. She encountered an extremely upsetting visit on Saturday 18/5/2024. Despite being the first to get her blood taken at approximately 7.50 AM, she was told to wait for 2 hours for the results, which we understood was a standard procedure. However, Prof reportedly started his clinic very late, and dragged consult with patients before her, and her number was skipped and not called until AFTER 12 in the afternoon, and mind you she was already at the clinic for blood taking since 7.30 AM! There was no explanation given when she was clearly very upset and this is totally unacceptable. She was left very distressed, helpless and was even in tears while waiting for the medications that we PAID with a HIGH consult charge, out our own pocket. In fact, it’s not the first time for this to happen to her, on one occasion, she was kept waiting for more than 3 hours and again this is totally unacceptable for a private medical centre. Something definitely should be done with this deteriorating and subpar service which we felt does not justify the high consult charge and other fees. Since she was very upset to sit through her consult on that day, we’re asking for now, a refund of the consultation fees and a formal apology. I’m expecting a prompt reply as to why this is allowed to happen repeatedly to a private paying patient who’s also a senior, and if there’s no clear explanation, we will not hesitate to transfer her to other private medical centre and lodging a formal complaint.

I’m so dissatisfied with this hospital. Ive been a patient under Prof Ikram at Umsc . Then i was transferred to Prof Jeya because Prof Ikram has retired. Prof Jeya at Umsc suddenly warded me to PPUM and said he will take care of me there. Prof Jeya didnt even come to the ward for my case . He passed my case to some other fresh doctors here . Ive been warded here for six days , and I still dont know whats my actual diagnosis. The fresh doctors even injected me a medicine without my knowledge on the use of the medicine causing my bladder to hurt so bad for 3 days . This is so stupid . I didnt come to a private hospital to be ended up in a government hospital with poor and slow service. 😅 If you think u want to be warded at UMSC , pls think twice because the doctors here can easily transfer u to PPUM 😅😅😅.

I brought my mum in for a consultation and was impressed with the service. Prof. Dr Ikram was professional, patient, and explained everything clearly, while the nurse, Mr Hairul Azhar, was friendly and attentive. The whole team made the experience smooth and reassuring.
