I was really impressed with how quickly the nurses and doctors acted. My daughter had a high fever of 40.0 degrees. Mr. Stephen at the registration desk was super polite. Nurse Firdaus checked her vitals and promptly took her to the yellow zone. Dr. Amanda, Nurses Dina, Siti, Ellie, and Ray attended to her right away, providing medication, sponge bath and taken swab for Influenza. While we were waiting for results, Nurses Saras and Amalina offered me some porridge. Dr Pari suggested a blood test due to the influenza showed negative. Dr. Pari and Nurse Dina took care of that, with Sashi assisting. Overall our experience at BTMC ED was top-notch. Big thanks to all the doctors and nurses who took care of my daughter today (8/2/2025 @ 1200). 👍🏻👍🏻

Subject: Formal Complaint Regarding Emergency Department Doctor on 27 July 2025 Dear Sir/Madam, I am writing to formally express my dissatisfaction with the service and attitude we received from one of the emergency department dr Amanda Christine during our visit on the night of 27 July 2025. I brought my child in due to a persistent fever that had lasted for 3–4 days, which, as any concerned parent would understand, warranted medical attention. However, instead of receiving the care and understanding we expected, we were met with rude and inappropriate remarks from the attending doctor. The dr amanda christine questioned, “Why didn’t you give medicine at home? Why bring them to the hospital?” Such a response is not only unprofessional and dismissive, but also shows a clear lack of empathy and basic professional ethics. If home treatment was sufficient, we certainly would not have made the effort to visit the emergency department in the middle of the night. We had specifically come to seek consultation with Dr. Joyce, whose professionalism we trust. If not for Dr. Joyce, we would not have chosen to visit your hospital, as the experience with the emergency doctor was deeply disappointing and unacceptable. I hope the hospital takes this feedback seriously and addresses the matter appropriately. Patients and families come to the emergency department already stressed and anxious; the least we expect is to be treated with respect and compassion. Thank you for your attention to this matter. I would appreciate a response regarding any follow-up actions. Sincerely, CY
