Dear Sir/Madam, Subject: Complaint Regarding Consultation with Dr. Tan Hong Guan I am writing to express my dissatisfaction with the consultation I had with Dr. Tan Hong Guan on 09/07/2024. The service I received was unsatisfactory, and the associated fees charged were inappropriate. During my visit, I was seen by Dr. Tan for approximately ten minutes. Despite the brevity of our consultation, my condition was not adequately addressed or resolved. Furthermore, I was charged the critical consultation fee of RM235, which, according to the Malaysian Medical Council (MMC) guidelines, should only apply to genuinely critical conditions. My condition, as you are aware, does not fall under this category. Additionally, the use of the nasoendoscope during the consultation, which incurred an extra cost of over RM300 plus, seemed excessively expensive, especially considering the limited duration and outcome of the examination. I understand that nasoendoscopes and flexible laryngoscopes serve different purposes; however, the nasoendoscopic examination did not justify the high charges given the brief consultation and lack of resolution. I respectfully request a review of my case and a reconsideration of the fees charged. I believe a fair adjustment should be made to reflect the actual service provided. Enclosed is a copy of the MMC guidelines for reference. I hope this matter can be resolved amicably and promptly. I look forward to your response.
