Had a very poor experience with Dr Tai Mei Ling Sharon in Neurology. Saw me for 5-7 minutes and was on WhatsApp constantly. She would start texting in the middle of me explaining my symptoms and not even ask me to hold, or excuse herself. Kept repeating questions that I had already mentioned. Very distracted and felt extremely irresponsible. Was charged 260 MYR for this and to be told I can go see an ENT. No interest in the patient and felt very unprofessional.

Usually UMSC Drs are pretty good but I would avoid Neurologist Prof Dr.Tai Mei Ling Sharon. We had an extremely strange consultation with her - she got us to do a super expensive MRI and when the results were out, she sat there saying she can't read the results instead messaging someone on the phone to get a report, yet she would say nothing. Then she pushed us to do more and more expensive scans which, really was not necessary considering there are no real intervention medications for the situation. When I did not agree to do more scans, she stared at me, and said, "You have already taken all my time! I have Other patients to see and everyone should be allocated 15 mins only!" To summarise, she kept us in her office, did not talk to us about any of the medical results which we spent a small fortune on doing, pushed for us to spend more then was rude to us when we did not agree to do it and psychologically chased us out of her office. I would avoid this neurologist Dr.Sharon Tai Mei Ling from UMSC, there are plenty others in KL. She appears to be acquisitive, indiscriminate with her recommendations for scans and inconclusive with her medical consultation. Awful! Made us waste a bunch of money and was seriously rude to us.

It's been awhile back, but thought of writing this positive review. I met Prof Sharon on a chronic migraine issue. She was very attentive to hearing out my symptoms (I can see her scribbling down and accounting for my symptoms), validated my feelings and was empathetic on the suffering/frustration I was going through. Did some scans to rule out other serious issue before was administered a certain medication. After 6 months I think I'm in a much better place right now... If my problems persist or comes back I will definitely see her again. High recommendation on Migraine issues.
