Prof. Dr. Khairul Azmi bin Abd. Kadir is a distinguished Clinical Radiologist specialising in Biomedical Imaging with an advanced subspecialty in Neurointerventional Radiology. He holds his MBBS from Universiti Malaya and completed his specialist radiology training there (M.Med in Radiology). He further deepened his expertise through fellowship training in Neurointerventional Radiology at Hacettepe University Hospital in Ankara, Turkey. He leads as Head of the Department of Biomedical Imaging & Neurointerventional Radiology at University Malaya Medical Centre, and is part of UM Specialist Centre’s faculty. His clinical practice focuses on complex vascular conditions of the brain: treatment of intracranial aneurysms, embolization of vascular tumours or malformations, angioplasty and stenting of arterial stenosis (including carotid stenting), and acute stroke intervention. He also contributes heavily to research and teaching, with over 40 publications, multiple research grants, and frequent presentations at national and international conferences.
