I was referred to Dr.Susanna Huam Siew Hoon at KPJ Damansara. When I came into her clinic, she asked me what was my job nature, and I told her I'm in business. My concern was a little bump on my private area and I asked her about the pap smear package that KPJ Damansara stated on their website. Well, we did not even go into detail, and she asked me to move forward to the inspection bed where she inspected my vagina. I was slightly confused as I wanted to talk about what she will be doing for me today. She kept insisting that she will answer me later. Fine, I lied down on the inspection bed, which she told me it was nothing to worry about as it was just a blocked hair follicle. After that, she immediately did a pap smear test on me and later on continued with an ultrasound scan and a breast check up. I was very confused because I did not request any of that service. After doing all that, we talked about the bill and the bill came up to a staggering RM680++ I was beyond shocked because she charged RM150++ for consultation (checking my vagina for less than 3 minutes, without gloves), RM160++ for ultrasound scan and breast check up (which was done within 2 minutes, and without my consent), and rm350++ for pap smear + HPV test. Everything was done in less than 15 minutes! When we talked about the bill, I could not reject that amount as she has already did all the procedures, including the breast check and ultrasound that I did not request. I felt immensely ripped off and I'm unsure whether my profession has influenced her pricing. I have friends who did these same consultations at Gleneagles for a much cheaper price. Her way of consulting patients is very friendly but extremely unprofessional due to her unsystematic way of charging and she did not sit down with patients FIRST before doing the necessary procedure. I will not visit her again. Please save your money and go to other doctors who are much experienced, affordable and professional.

I wish to give ZERO STAR but can't. Went to emergency due to bleeding at 5 weeks pregnant. While waiting the nurse kept referring to me as 'patient badan besar'. Yes, I'm a bit plump but not expecting a private hospital to offer such salty 'service'. Was treated carelessly by Dr. Ansari. Asked a few questions and told me to wait for the next shift as there will be an on-call O&G. I asked him to release me since the blood was not so heavy and I already called Dr. Susanna prior to my visit. He insisted to let me stay in ER. Time went by, I knew Dr. Susanna's clinic is about to close so again, I asked Dr. Ansari to release me, and finally, he said, "If you insist then go. As far as I am concerned, no one is in the clinics." What a bluff! Talking to me like I'm a child. So I went to Dr. Susanna's clinic, telling her I have assisted pregnancy (chlomid), first pregnancy after 7+yrs marriage, and whatnot. Guess what, she did the 2D scan and said I don't know is it a miscarriage or not. I requested TVS. Hoping there is a light or sort of explanation. She then said, "I don't know what is this. Not sac, not cyst. I don't know. Come again next two weeks. Go back just wait and see." Thus, end my visit and charged RM500 (self-paid, not GL) for such a terrible nurse, inattentive doctor, and know-nothing specialist. What a JOKE! Went to UMSC next few days and get a good explanation at a lower rate.

I’ve had the worst experience ever from Dr Susanna from Obygyn. First of all, she came late for the surgery but that’s still fine. I was initially supposed to have different surgery from what she actually operates on me and didn’t even inform me/my family about this. She didn’t even came to meet me after the surgery and tell me what happened in the surgery room till i was bleeding and asked the nurse to call her because the nurse also clueless on what is happening to me. I requested to get admitted but she doesn’t feel the need to and asked me to walk and when i walk, she didn’t even pay attention while chitchating with the nurse. And asked me to walk again. Im literally just got out from a surgery and this is the way she treated me? She then still send me to home and asked me to come back tomorrow morning if i’m still sick. She also forgot to prescribe me with medicines that i actually needed. Im so sorry to write this review but I just feel like dr susanna is heartless and inconsiderable. All the nurses are kind, friendly and helpful, however because of this bad experience with dr susanna, i wont be coming to kpj damansara again.

I am writing to formally raise a serious concern regarding the standard of care and hospitality my mother received from the nursing staff during her recent surgery and recovery at your hospital. My mother has been under the care of Dr. Susanna Huam for nearly a decade. We have nothing but the utmost respect for Dr. Huam—her professionalism, expertise, and compassionate approach are the reasons my mother continues to return to your hospital. Unfortunately, the same cannot be said about the nursing staff, whose repeated lack of attentiveness and empathy has been a point of concern for some time. Most recently, my mother underwent a procedure for a Bartholin’s cyst. Although the surgery did not require an overnight stay, she was in significant pain post-operation and, as someone who reacts poorly to anesthesia, felt extremely dizzy and nauseous in the recovery area. Given these circumstances, we expected a basic standard of post-operative support from the nurses. My brother and I, who both live and study abroad, were unable to return to Malaysia on such short notice, and it was incredibly distressing to know that our mother had to endure this alone. She called us while in distress, saying she had requested a simple cup of warm water and some bread, as advised to alleviate the nausea, but was told by the nurses to get them herself. She was directed to a water dispenser and instructed to go downstairs to find bread, despite being weak and unsteady. This level of neglect is completely unacceptable and dangerous. A patient in her condition should never have been expected to move around on her own. To add to this, another patient in the same ward overheard my mother’s conversation with both my brother and me. Witnessing the lack of support, this patient kindly offered my mother some of her own bread. She also shared that she had experienced similar treatment from the nursing staff and expressed her own dissatisfaction with the lack of care and attention provided. It is extremely disheartening to hear that multiple patients have had to rely on each other for the most basic needs due to the failure of nursing staff to provide appropriate care. Not only does this point to a systemic issue, but it also undermines the trust patients and families place in your hospital. We expected a much higher standard of professionalism, care, and basic human decency from a healthcare institution of your reputation. The actions or inactions of your nursing staff were not only unprofessional but put my mother’s health and safety at risk. I urge hospital management to conduct a thorough investigation into this matter, and to take immediate action to address the training, accountability, and expectations of your nursing staff. Patients should never be made to feel like a burden for asking for post-operative support, nor should they have to rely on fellow patients to meet their basic needs. We sincerely hope that you will treat this complaint with the seriousness it warrants and implement the necessary improvements to ensure that no other patient has to experience what my mother went through.
