This is my first experience with SMC. Overall I am satisfied with their service. Only comment that I have is the admission part. I was expecting to be admitted into my room first before they conduct tests ie blood, xray and ECG prior surgery. After all tests are done I was wheeled back to Admission. It is best to inform your patients prior admission date regarding these tests so that we know what to expect and would go earlier. Then a counter staff later approached me to confirm my room type and luckily he did else I would need to wait longer for my room. Apparently there is a mistake on my room type. Example: I wanted room C and in their paper is shown as room B. I had my laparoscopic adrenalectomy surgery done with Dr Normayah Kitan. She is an excellent surgeon, it was successfully done. Also thanks to Dr Bachan Singh (anaesthetician) for his comfort and explanation prior surgery. Also thanks to the OT nurses that handled me. After surgery it was so cold, I was shivering in the OT ward. The heater blanket wasn’t enough to provide me comfort. Kudos to all male and female nurses in Ward 2C. You guys are cool and comforting. Thank you for your good care. Thank you too to the Malay Lady Kakak that changes my bedsheet, she is such a nice and compassionate lady showing great care and concern. Thank you all for the small talks that we had during my 4D/3N stay there, it’s comforting. Keep up the good work 👍🏻
