Five years ago, my child was diagnosed with nephritis in Semarang and was scheduled for a kidney biopsy. Fortunately, we postponed it. A relative advised us to take our child to Penang. We searched on Google for Penang hospitals that could treat kidney disease and chose Adventist. It turned out that at Adventist Hospital, Dr. Lim Hooi Leng was able to find the cause of the swollen kidneys, which was a swollen parathyroid gland in the neck, requiring neck surgery. With the collaboration of two other doctors, Dr. Teh Chu Leong (urologist) and Dr. Cheong Yew Tek (surgeon), and through many stages of treatment and various difficulties, thank God our child was helped and treated. Fortunately, it wasn't too late to treat it. Being thorough and precise in choosing a doctor for treatment accelerates patient recovery and prevents the disease from worsening. We are not happy about seeking treatment abroad, but we hope Indonesia can improve the quality of its doctors and paramedics so that illnesses are not prolonged.

I want to express my heartfelt gratitude to nurse Leong who took care of me during my stay at Penang Adventist Hospital Emergency department on the 28th of December. I was dealing with extreme diarrhea and nearly fainted, but thanks to the quick and efficient care I received from nurse leong and doctor Lim Hooi Leng, I was able to get back on my feet in no time. The nurse was not only professional and knowledgeable but also incredibly compassionate, making me feel comfortable and reassured throughout the entire process. After a quick remedy with IV drips and the right medications, I was well enough to board my flight back to my country. I can’t thank the team enough for their excellent service. 10/10 highly recommend this hospital!

I wish to thank Dr Lim Hooi Leng for her dedication as a doctor. My dad developed very high fever n was shivering on Tuesday night . His BP dropped drastically and he was having sepsis . Dr Lim unselfishly came from her home and came to help at 2-4am in the morning . Thanks to her wisdom and experience she manage to deduce the right medication/ antibiotics to help my dad before we can get a place in his he icu as the test will take some time to come out. We are really appreciative her dedication towards my dad, her patient . We need more doctors like her.
