Dr. Chang Kok Chun is an excellent and very professional spine doctor with strong diagnostic skills. He was able to quickly identify my problem. Jeff is a rehab physiotherapist who meticulously guided me on the correct operational methods. Ah Soong is my second rehab physiotherapist. His careful and diligent attitude was of great help to me. He patiently explained and analyzed my issues and how to resolve them. I highly recommend this hospital. Not only this department, but also pediatrics and gynecology are excellent. For gynecology, you can consult Dr. Wong Yen Shi. For pediatrics, you can consult Dr. Chew Bee Bee. The wards are also very comfortable, and the nurses are good too 👍. The ward I stayed in was a deluxe room, which was clean, tidy, and comfortable.

Admission - straight forward process, all smooth Labour room - spacious, have foldable bed for daddy, do provide blanket for daddy - staff attentive, keep monitoring mummy and keep adjusting pitocin dose - tq for the labour team room 1 (staff nurse amirah, syafiqa, noraini, clara, mastura, fadila and others) for assisting my wife in her delivery, keep shouting push and do taichi on mummy tummy. Special thanks to the plus size SN who came towards the end 'show' and channeling all her energy and guiding my confused wife towards the last few push - all the labour team have magical hand that can measure dilation, different nurses came at different interval but all are equally good - tq Dr Wong Yen Shi for delivering a healthy baby to us, everything was smooth under her care. Ward - too bad cant get a single room (why didnt build more floors to cater more room) - initial lactaction counselling by ms ?Tioh was ok with technique but not so okay on tackling concerns on new mother on breastfeeding. New mother concern if there is milk and if baby sufficently fed. (not possible on majority first time mother yea, do take note). Dont la just teach and expect mothers produce milk on first day. Also lacking from the nursery team, how long to latch and wat next after latch and when next latch? Newly delivered mother are tired physically and may start to feel pain at lower part. Latching will make the mother even tired hence, proper counselling is needed for proper time management so mother can rest more. These lacking was addressed by lactation nurse named ?Iris on second day. Nurses should give a proper flow during the ward stay and prioritise mummy sufficient rest - tq for the nurses who assist my wife who experience severe dizziness post epidural

Dr Wong Yen Shi was the O&G doctor for my wife's delivery. Overall, I'm very pleased with the attention and care given throughout pre, during and post delivery. Her team at Level 6 and herself did an outstanding job in helping my wife have a smooth and successful natural birth delivery. The support and assurance given to us as 1st time parents were very commendable.We will definitely be back again at SMCV to have Dr Wong and team help us out for our future babies.

Your professionalism, compassion, and attention made a world of difference to my recovery.
