I delivered my first baby here under the care of Obstetrician & Gynecologist Dr. Wong Yen Shi. The doctor's bedside manner was excellent. Appointments on Saturdays are fully booked, so remember to book two weeks in advance. The nurses will help you adjust your next appointment. I really love their Sunway Velocity app! It sends SMS reminders for upcoming appointments. Rescheduling can be done online, which is very convenient and avoids the traditional method of going to the counter or making phone calls. My first visit was for the glucose tolerance test, and I was quite nervous, fearing I wouldn't pass. I was trembling beforehand, but the doctors and nurses here are very friendly and kindly explained every small detail and process, including blood draws, urine tests, and important things to note. Actually, the glucose tolerance test isn't as scary as rumored; it depends on the place and environment. During labor, a kettle with room-temperature water was provided, which was very thoughtful! There's a 24-hour Family Mart downstairs for late-night cravings or daily necessities. A benefit of delivering here is not needing to pack too much for the hospital bag; they provide toiletries and even a hairdryer, allowing you to shower and prepare for delivery. This time, I opted for an epidural because the contractions were very painful, and I couldn't bear it. The doctor professionally explained the procedure and the consent form we had to sign. I highly recommend it! The process was less arduous and smoother. After delivery, we saw the pediatrician, the renowned Dr. Chew Bee Bee. Every visit with the baby is very efficient; we quickly understand the issue and the solution. If I have a second child, I will choose to deliver here again!

My attending obstetrician, Dr. Wong Yen Shi, has excellent skills. The Cesarean section procedure was completely painless, and the baby was delivered in less than an hour 👶. The nurses' service was also very attentive 👍👍.

I had a wonderful and pleasant c-section experience in SMCV. Truly glad I chose this hospital: 1. Dr Wong Yen Shi is amazing. She is the best gynae-ob I have come across. She is thorough and professional yet down-to-earth and approachable when it comes to any concern you have. The waiting time is very reasonable (!!! Extra plus point) 2. Shout-outs to the breastfeeding support group. Even months before my delivery, I have been in touch with one of the lactation consultants, Ms Siew. I was pleasantly surprised and thankful for how responsive, supportive, friendly and available (very important!) the team is (thanks Iris). The team did a good job in educating and supporting mothers to give breastfeeding a try. The support system provided by a private hospital like this (without additional charge during delivery) is pretty hard to come by so better take full advantage of it. The leaflet provided is informative too. 3. Nurses are great and gentle (e.g. no grumpy faces) 4. Food is good. Only downside is the design if the building is confusing so it's not so easy to navigate around. Taking the right lift to the right place can be very confusing. And the waiting of lifts can be quite long because there is no dedicated lift for moving patients around. Overall, I'm happy and ready to go home.
