Had the misfortune to require a few days stay in SJMC and I was blown away by the experience. Everyone from the Doctors, nurses, physiotherapists, concierge and housekeeping team were professional and were often genuinely warm and friendly to the patients. Dr Phua Chun Seng was able to make a fast and accurately diagnosis of my condition and started treatment immediately to avoid further deterioration. I'm very grateful for my quick recovery. The nurses in the HDU ward were superbly trained and attentive. In the regular wards, all the nurses who attended to me were well briefed in my condition and followed up knowledgeably. Never throughout my stay did I see any of the carers lose their temper at difficult patients, always assisting them with good humor. The physiotherapy team (shout out to Elaine, Morris and Ms Wong) helped me tremendously in my recovery. They were so eager to share their knowledge and experience which made my sessions very enjoyable. You can see that the team has a great working culture as I've seen staff rushing to help other patients not assigned to them when they spotted someone who needed help. Chithira from food service was also very friendly. Lastly, concierge Zainal made my trips between the ward to the gym interesting and we had some great conversations. Some support facilities are showing their age such as the dated wards and bathrooms. Many of the wheelchairs are also not rolling smoothly with faulty brakes. New discharge procedure was well explained by Gandhimadhi.

She gives clear explanation about admission process and insurance. She was very professional in handling my admission, she make sure i understand eveything before i sign on every piece of paper.
