I haVe a plugged ear that goes on and off. My neighbour had nose cancer had similar on and off plugged ear when he got it checked here. I didn't ask him which doctor, I chose Dr Jeya (I think so _ too lazy to check the bill. I was charged rm586: Rm235 for consultation but I can't remember what definite answer she has for my plugged ear. No nose cancer was determined after checking by putting cable light via my nose to see my my throat etc. That costs another rm200-fair. Then she had me sent for hearing test at UH via a shuttle van. I waited for hours to do a hearing test which I already told her my hearing was fine. The government chap who did hearing test charged rm100. Took forever waiting for shuttle to bring me back. Actual bill for this was rm190-umsc added rm90 on top - presumably for profit margin and cost of shuttle. The first half of the morning was gone. You need to pay deposit of rm300 before seeing the doctor- I thought I could get back rm100, my estimate of the cost was rm200. I was so shocked that I had to pay additional rm286. My first gut feeling was to run away fast rather than paying the ridiculous sum. My opinion of private hospitals and doctors? They are slaughter houses and butchers and this merely reconfirms it. Only that I couldn't believe I fell for it -again! Umsc = private hospital with government level of service and low attitude but with private fees charged. A small payment to be told I'm cleared of cancer or a form of purification I guess.

So far everything seems ok, no unpleasant experience except for limited parking space. Undergone my gallbladder surgery by Dr Koong Jung Kit. Treated by few other good specialist ie: Prof Idzwan, Prof Jeyakantha (my mom’s specialist) Prof Thajun (mom’s specialist too) & Dr Chung Weng Hong. All of them are good and well verse in their own areas. Can further improve on the speed and waiting time especially during payment / clearing the bills.

I’m so dissatisfied with this hospital. Ive been a patient under Prof Ikram at Umsc . Then i was transferred to Prof Jeya because Prof Ikram has retired. Prof Jeya at Umsc suddenly warded me to PPUM and said he will take care of me there. Prof Jeya didnt even come to the ward for my case . He passed my case to some other fresh doctors here . Ive been warded here for six days , and I still dont know whats my actual diagnosis. The fresh doctors even injected me a medicine without my knowledge on the use of the medicine causing my bladder to hurt so bad for 3 days . This is so stupid . I didnt come to a private hospital to be ended up in a government hospital with poor and slow service. 😅 If you think u want to be warded at UMSC , pls think twice because the doctors here can easily transfer u to PPUM 😅😅😅.
