My last visit in august, 2024 was a nightmare. My husband has been frequenting KPJ since early February, 2024 after getting information of a 3 cm mass at his lung. Pusat Perubatan Pakar An Nur suspected it as cancer and referred us to UPM. Later we decided to get 2nd opinion at KPJ, Ampang Puteri and was attended by Doctor Wahab Sufarlan. He did a scope procedure and a few test were done under his care and he confidently diagnosed it as brochiectasis with fibrosis and my husband has been treated with medication for that. X ray was done from time to time until august, my husband's condition did not getting any better. On early august, I admitted my husband again at KPJ, we were assigned to a new Doctor, Nur Ashikin. Three days of my husband admission the "Nur Ashikin" only send nurses and Junior Doctor to attend to us. My husband's condition was getting serious, as such I requested her to come and visit my husband immediately and informed her of my husband condition based on previous record that I kept in my handphone . Only then she ordered an x-ray and CT scan to be done. Later, she informed us that its a lung cancer and its already spread and that my husband only have 3 months to live and if treated he have 6 months. She told us that its impossible to do biopsy as the location is very risky and that no oncologist would be able to treat my husband with no biopsy result. We were discharged with my husband still having trouble breathing. I then called HUKM and went there for treatment at emergency department. My husband was treated immediately as he had "pluerral effusion" which causing him trouble breathing. The HUKM doctors put him under CCU and removed the fluid from his lung . A test also made from the water and its confirmed lung cancer stage 4. It is sad that he been diagnosed at late stage and once KPJ confirmed him had cancer they immediately discharged him without treating the "pluerral effusion" issue. He is not fit to be discharged. It is sad to say but hospital industry are really a hospitality industry. Managing crisis. fluffy bed with nurses 24/7 and not much of reversal of illnesses. I would never recommended this hospital anymore except if you only have minor issues of illness like fever..

I was admitted at 2:00 AM on 4.7.2025 and warded in room 826 at Sakura Ward, Level 8, and discharged on 8.7.2025 in the evening. I will now summarize my admission experience. I wish to express my gratitude to Dr. Norashikin for her kind care in attending to me throughout the five days. She was attentive, and I am very pleased with her treatment. Definitely a star doctor! I also wish to mention the amazing service by Puan Kala and Puan Noriza, the two nurses who have been a great help to me. Puan Kala went the extra mile in solving some issues I faced during my admission, and that I applaud. Puan Noriza has been my mood-maker with her bubbly personality. Other nurses and staff have been wonderful and nothing short of amazing. I can attest that the staff here are trained to deliver their very best service. Thank you Dr. Norashikin, Puan Kala, Puan Noriza, and other nurses/staff. I’ve attached a selfie I took with Puan Kala and Puan Noriza on my last day before discharge. Overall, 10/10.
