Dr Shirley Lee is a sessional consultant neurologist at KPJ Damansara Specialist Hospital. She graduated with a medical degree from the National University of Ireland in 2009 and obtained her Membership of the Royal College of Physicians United Kingdom in 2014. She served as an Internal Medicine Physician for several years at Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Sabah, before pursuing subspecialty training in Neurology. She completed her Neurology fellowship in 2023, which included a dedicated year of Epilepsy Fellowship at Austin Hospital, Melbourne, Australia. Dr Lee has a special interest in the comprehensive management of epilepsy, with a strong commitment to optimizing seizure control, improving patients’ quality of life, and providing education and support to individuals and families affected by the condition. Beyond epilepsy care, she is well-versed in managing a wide range of other neurological disorders, including headache, neuromuscular diseases, neuroimmunology, stroke, dementia, and movement disorders. She is also skilled in performing and interpreting nerve conduction studies (NCS), electromyography (EMG), and electroencephalography (EEG).
