Overall, my experience was good. A big thank you to Dr. Dimitraj Maniam (Physician), Nurul Ayuni (Nurse Assistant), Dr. Rishi (Urological Surgeon), and Dr. Lim Wei Tat (Anesthesiologist) for the superb consultation and treatment. Also, a big applause to all nurse MD1 for being caring, attentive, and very helpful throughout my stay. They provided excellent and tip-top service and support. Special shout out as well to Hesry (Bed Management), who was very helpful and made things much smoother. That said, there are some areas where things could be improved, especially in terms of communication and patient support. When I was admitted, the admission staff did provide some information, but it wasn’t clear enough. For example, I wasn’t informed that I needed to scan a QR code to order food. As patients, we come to the hospital not for a tour, we come because we are unwell and in need of treatment. We don’t have the time or energy to walk around the ward just to figure things out. That’s why it’s important for admission staff to explain these details properly from the start, instead of only mentioning visiting hours and payment. This responsibility sits with the admission team, as nurses are already busy taking care of many patients. Another point was about drinking water. Patients were expected to leave the ward to get it themselves, but the dispenser was quite far. For someone who is unwell and doesn’t have a caregiver, this can be very difficult. It would be much more thoughtful to provide bottled water (just like it was done previous years), especially during the early stages of admission when patients are still weak and in pain. I hope these small but important issues can be addressed, because clear communication and a little extra patient support can make a big difference to the overall experience.

First time in the hospital, that morning I was going to have an operation. That night I had to fast. But that night there was no food, luckily the staff bought bread. Alhamdulillah, thank you for the good treatment of the doctor & staff. 2 times admitted in the same month. All the food and drinks were delicious. Again fish-based dishes. Room 121 & 99. Thank you Dr. Siti Fareeda, Dr. Ashraf Zulkurnain & Dr. Lim Wei Tat.

I would like to extend my heartfelt gratitude and admiration to the exceptional Drs and nurses of Columbia Hospital. I would like to especially commend the O&G surgeon Dr Rajesh and Anaesthetist Dr Lim Wei Tat who involved in my laparoscopic surgery for their exceptional professionalism, skills, and dedication. From the very beginning, they made me feel at ease by thoroughly explaining the procedure, addressing all my concerns, and demonstrating genuine empathy and care. Their teamwork, precision, meticulous management and expertise ensured that the surgery was smooth and successful. Dr Rajesh & Dr Lim gave me full confidence and reassurance at every step of the process to ensure my comfort and safety are the top priority. Thanks to Dr Lim for his expertise and careful planning, I experienced no side effects or discomfort from the anesthesia post-surgery. My pain is manageable post surgery as well! I would also like to acknowledge the nursing staff and the entire surgical team for their support and attentiveness. Together, they created a seamless and positive experience for me, turning what could have been a stressful time into one marked by care and professionalism. Please convey my deepest gratitude to the entire team for their extraordinary efforts. Columbia Hospital is fortunate to have such dedicated and highly skilled professionals. I will not hesitate to recommend your services to anyone in need of medical care.
