Prof. Dr. Mae-Lynn Catherine Bastion is a distinguished Ophthalmologist and Vitreoretinal Specialist at UKM Specialist Centre (UKMSC). With an MBBS (First Class Honours) from the University of Sydney and a fellowship in Vitreoretinal Surgery from Singapore, she brings extensive expertise to complex eye conditions. A UKM Professor of Ophthalmology, she is a dedicated educator, having trained five Vitreoretinal Surgery fellows. Her prolific research in vitreoretinal diseases, vitrectomy, and stem cell therapy has resulted in over 90 publications and multiple research awards. Dr. Bastion also holds significant leadership roles, including Vice-President of the Malaysian Society of Ophthalmology, underscoring her commitment to advancing eye care.
