Unethical Conduct of Doctor. I wish to file a complaint regarding a consultation at An-Nur Specialist Hospital on May 4, 2023. My father came for treatment of cough and cold, and I also came for cough treatment. We saw Dr. Zulhissaf*** Bin Zak*** in one session. During the consultation, the doctor suggested taking an RTK test and a blood test without informing us of the cost of these tests, including lab service fees, or inquiring if we were able and willing to proceed with the treatment. Furthermore, the doctor did not discuss any alternative options. Upon receiving the bill, we were shocked by the lab service cost of RM451.40 per patient, excluding MO fees. When the billing staff called the supervisor on duty to discuss this bill with me, she replied that patients should inquire about the cost of treatment before proceeding. There were no displayed prices for the RTK test at An-Nur Hospital. This violates consumer rights. I am awaiting a response from management for a personal resolution. This feedback was made at the suggestion of the reception staff. Thank you. Khairi
