First and the last! Bad experience at ER. My 2 months old baby was confirmed RSV and that was day 5. Baby's chest was showing retractions and need urgent admission. We expect the process to be quick. But we were left in isolation room for 5 hours without timely check up on baby. Until my baby cried out hard and face turned purple, I carried my baby all the way out from the room to counter asked for help. But the doctor who attended to me was arrogant, Dr Anand. He listened to my baby's lung and said it was clear, but spo2 drop to 87 which is critical for baby. He tried to rest assure us but in arrogant way, claiming that condition is normal. It made us feel that, were we as parents just over reacted? When I asked why no timely check up on baby and we were left helpless in the room. Baby's cough was getting more frequent and hard. She couldn't drink any and kept crying. Out of surprise the doctor replied us that he was busy with many patients. The fact was when I attended to counter, the doctor was with his phone. When I requested for urgent help, the doctor doesn't seem well alarmed and didn't work quick on emergency procedure. I couldn't imagine, we were left in room without hourly check up, what would happen if we as first time parents missed out any abnormal sign on baby who just aged 2 months plus. One of the medical staffs even told me they couldn't do phlegm suction for baby at ER. Within 5 hours, there's no any quick medical assistance from paediatric unit. Until I alerted the staff that baby's condition get worsen, ER medical team only alert paediatric unit for help. Sorry that I insisted to transfer out to other hospital but I think I had made a wise choice. It seems that the handling way of ER needs improvement.

Avoid their pediatric surgeon. Doctor only there once a week for few hours. The doctor will ask ur 6 years old kid walk to treatment room with wearing panties only (pass by the whole waiting zone that full with parents and patients). Away for thaipusam and tell you wont skip his holiday for your case. Ask you to make decison for your kid whether proceed surgery after admission. Changed doctor to follow up due to none availability of incharge doctor, ,not even better. ask u to go subang jaya medical centre next day to access the wound before decide further treatment. If not wait for next week. Tell u your case is trouble to follow up and "not earn alot" type of case. What i have heard? I really dont have any idea what's wrong with their pediatric surgeon doctors.

Delivered both my babies here. Great team( doctors & nurses). My gynaecologist Dr.Jeevaratnam is an excellent doctor, very caring and loving. Whenever Im unwell during my pregnancy I can ring him up for consultation, if he’s busy he calls back later 👍🏽. Several times he did not charge me for consultation. He’s currently a resident in SJMC. Besides that, my kids paediatrician Dr.Liew Pei Sze is equally an excellent doc. Extremely loving towards both my kids. Listens and explains well, which many doctors fail to do these days .
