My experience with Dr. Fah Kong was extremely disappointing. He showed no compassion or empathy throughout my treatment. He only allowed me to answer his questions and refused to listen when I tried to explain my pain. Even when I described where my pain was and still felt discomfort in that area, he corrected me, saying I was wrong and that part is not where I feel pain, because his report showed something else. What? But it was exactly because of that pain that I was admitted to the hospital in the first place. During my hospital stay, he gave me only short and vague explanations, leaving me in confusion and helplessness. He even insisted that my condition could not be linked to my heavy inhalation of mixed bleach, claiming it was impossible, instead of acknowledging my experience. This attitude made me feel completely ignored and invalidated as a patient. Fortunately, when he suddenly went on leave, another doctor took over my case. That doctor listened, explained clearly, and gave me real understanding and support, something every patient deserves. His lack of empathy and unwillingness to hear patients’ voices is really bad. I hope I never have to go through same experience again.
