Followed up for my third pregnancy with Dr Imelda Balchin. The service and care provided were outstanding. The appointments were managed efficiently by the friendly clinic assistant, Ms Afiqah. Dr Imelda made sure her patient understand all options & risk involved. She gave a thorough explanation for each of the option and counselled accordingly. The delivery process was smooth, she handled unexpected situation very professionally. The hospital room was clean and comfortable. All nursing staff are so helpful and competent. All in all, a very pleasant experience of maternity care in this hospital.

No ethics at all. The doc (cardiologist) behaved as racist. We were waited for 2 hours but he simply bringing in a Chinese man for consultation who came after us. Not recommended at all. Never been experienced such a bad experience in any other private hospital.

Admitted my dad to kpj Damansara due to good recommendation from relatives and they live up with my family's expectation Thank you Dr effa for your treatment and help on my dad. Surgical ward nurses also do a very good service in terms of taking care of my dad and very patient with him and kudos to you all. The only downside is the slow discharge process on weekend. Will recommend this hospital to people.

1. The Doctors I've had experience with in KPJ Damansara Specialist i.e. gynae, heart, anesthesiologist were all superb like wow. Dr Jude, Dr Imelda, Dr Effa all super informative, gentle, very considerate and understanding and human touch as well which is hard to find usually my experience is doctors are arrogant no offence. 2. The admin is always uninformed. I think they have really bad communication with the management. Always get misinformed from them. About admission, payment, processes etc. Clueless. 3. The process to be discharged was super long after delivery. 4. The nurses at maternity overall were amazing except a few. I had to request to not have my baby be taken care by a few at the special unit for babies. I understand its a tiring job but parents to those sick babies are emotional and tired too. Some of them feel like government nurses. That sort of attitude. 5. My daughter had urine infection in just a few days after discharge. I suspect it was that rude nurse that caused it because at Home we change diapers very frequently and I'm very particular on that. I already have another daughter so I know how to care for the diapers and never had issues 6. Nurses at the baby care unit also inject too fast and recklessly my newborn baby's hand became swollen they had to plug in a new IV in the other hand. Really inhumane service. Again, government hospital services. 7. Maternity ward nurse spoke rudely to us. She told (not asked) us to bring the baby to her outside instead of her taking the baby from us in the room. Same rude nurse. Really need to ensure. 8. The nurses giving injections, taking blood tests/samples i think don't know or care to know how to do it painless for the patient. In sjmc it was always painless. There's a technique. But at KPJ Damansara Specialist it's so painful. Overall, if you have a special issue the doctors here are good but for actual service and care, try to admit somewhere else. I heard Thomson is good and price much cheaper.
