Prof. Dato' Dr. Basheer Ahamed Abdul Kareem is a distinguished Consultant Cardiothoracic Surgeon with over two decades of experience. He is recognized for his surgical precision in a wide spectrum of heart and lung procedures and holds significant leadership roles, including President of the Malaysian Association for Thoracic and Cardiovascular Surgeons (MATCVS) and President of the Association of Thoracic and Cardiovascular Surgeons of Asia (ATCSA). As an Adjunct Professor at Universiti Malaya and UTAR, he is dedicated to medical education and shaping national cardiothoracic care standards as Head of Cardiothoracic Surgery Services at the Ministry of Health Malaysia.
