I just recovered fully from this I’m posting this review now. By far one of the worst experiences I'd ever experienced. This hospital tops it off with terrible services. I've been admitted to several private hospitals previously, but this is one of the worst, and I'll never return for treatment. The following is the history of my case: 1. I had severe abdominal cramps and I got myself in the emergency room on 23 April morning at approximately 6.30 am. I informed the MO what my issue was and was diagnosed as acute gastritis. I was given some fluids and painkillers and the pain subsided eventually the MO asked if I wanted to be admitted or discharged. I asked can I be discharged since the pain had reduced and the MO yes I could be discharged. 2. I got home slept through and woke up at 2.00 pm experiencing excruciating cramps and started to vomit non-stop. I went again to the emergency room at this hospital and I was treated again with the painkillers, thanks to the attending MO & Nurse BOB who did well to look after me during this situation. The only good thing is this. 3. Now the nightmare began, I was taken to the CT scan room to get an X-ray & CT scan to find the issues I was having, after the procedure was completed I was taken to the ward, where there was another patient who was suffering from dementia and was making all kind of noises until late night midnight, I complained to the nurse and was told that they were restraining him due to his issues and all the single rooms was full. Dr. Sini came to attend to me and told me that I might need surgery if my condition and vomiting did not stop. Eventually, at 12.30 am I was transferred to the single room and took note there was no cupboard but I was fine with it. 4. My condition did not improve, and vomiting continued throughout and came to the morning, Dr. Sini came and asked me what’s my decision, and he insisted that I should do the surgery as he said that my lower bowel was blocked and swollen. I told him to let me see if the condition got better, Dr. Sini came again at 2/3 pm and asked once again what’s my decision, I was unable to make any sane decision and I was in pain and vomiting non-stop, he said that if I don’t do the surgery my bowel will burst! Then Dr. Sini asked - I see you are alone here, where is your family? I said that my family is in Penang and I live here alone but I have a friend that comes to see me, he then answered- your friend is not your family. This is the red flag! 2nd issue, I told him you could talk to my mother over the phone and explain the situation, he then answered- is your mother a Doctor ?!?! Is this how you behave??? Where is your empathy?? How dare you ?? He eventually spoke to my mother. 5. After their discussion, it was agreed mutually that I would go back to Penang to get my surgery done, I was asked to sign a Refusal of Medical Treatment form so that I don’t blame this hospital should anything happen to me. Take note that was never given any antibiotics; only paracetamol and nauseous medicine throughout. 6. The nurses are the worst on the 11th floor, their services are so horrible and rude! They stopped assisting the moment I signed the form. When my friend came he demanded to speak to Dr. Sini regarding this issue, however, the nurses dragged this out and said that Dr. Sini had gone back and I could talk to the MO, after hours, Dr. Fong who the MO came with an unhappy face, stands is a crossed hand behavior and asked what do I want, my friend asked him to explain what happened to me, take note I had lost my voice as my vomiting had not subsided! He then said, Dr sini has explained everything to the patient and I should be getting treated in this instance as my bowel may explode, he was extremely rude and showing how unapologetic and there is not even an ounce of empathy shown towards me, in this because I wanted to change hospital so their service became shitty as their personalities? Their true colors prevailed the moment I signed the form. ; they did not even treat me properly, Shame on you, DSH 2!

KPJ DSH2 Management, I would like to send my utmost and sincere gratitude to all doctors, nurses, supporting team and administrative staff of KPJ DSH2 for giving an excellent care of myself who was admitted to the ward via Emergency Dept. Special thanks to Dr Arif, Dr Melissa and Dr Fong whom promptly attended on my illness very professionally. Thank you to the team of dedicated nurses: Aimi, Sarah, Ain, Anis and Kamelia who committedly delivered the care and monitoring my response to treatment despite overwhelming tasks as the Executive Suite L9 Ward was fully occupied during my admission. Though I possibly don’t want to be admitted again for whatever illnesses but as a practising doctor myself; I am very proud to be medically managed by a well coordinated team of physicians, medical officers and nurses of KPJ DSH2. Bravo and congratulations! May God Bless All of You. Dr MD Sulaiman 21/06/2025
