Dr. Choong Yee Fong

Dr. Choong Yee Fong is a distinguished Consultant Ophthalmic Surgeon and the Medical Director at ISEC Kuala Lumpur, bringing a wealth of international experience and expertise to his patients. His medical education was completed in the United Kingdom, supported by the prestigious British High Commissioner's Award, where he graduated with a Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery from the University of Leeds, earning numerous academic accolades. Dr. Choong further honed his skills in the UK, achieving the title of Fellow of the Royal College of Ophthalmologists (FRCOphth), London, and completing extensive specialist training. This included subspecialty training in Paediatric Ophthalmology and Strabismus at world-renowned institutions: London's Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children and King's College University Hospital. Before returning to Malaysia, Dr. Choong served as a consultant ophthalmic surgeon at the University Hospital of Wales in Cardiff, UK, demonstrating his trusted expertise in a leading Western healthcare system. He is a recognized authority in cataract surgery, children's eye diseases, and squint (strabismus).
