I am currently still in Bukit Tinggi Medical Centre, and my experience here has been incredibly frustrating and disheartening. I initially sought medical attention for severe knee and ankle pain resulting from an accident, choosing this hospital due to its proximity to my location. However, my continued stay has only exacerbated my disappointment with the level of care provided. Upon arriving at the hospital, I consulted with Dr. Benjamin, who recommended hospitalization and an MRI to rule out any serious underlying conditions. My consultation with him took place at 4 pm, but it was not until 7 pm that my insurance was finally approved. The prolonged wait already left me feeling dissatisfied, but unfortunately, the issues persisted. From the outset, I made it clear to the nurses and staff members that I have a traumatic history with MRI scans and requested sedation or general anesthesia for the procedure. Despite their assurances that they were aware of my concerns and would provide sedation, I have yet to receive any assistance in this regard. I reiterated multiple times that the standard dosage of 5mg would not be effective for me and specifically requested the presence of an anesthesiologist. Regrettably, my pleas seem to have fallen on deaf ears. Adding to my frustration, the hospital continually postponed my MRI appointment time. It was initially scheduled for 9:30 pm, but the time was pushed back repeatedly until it was rescheduled for tomorrow morning. This constant rescheduling has not only caused significant distress but also led to a wasted day of waiting without receiving any information about my recovery plan. I have had to repeatedly inquire about the status of my procedure, which is both time-consuming and unacceptable in terms of patient care. This morning, I had to proactively seek information about my upcoming procedure and discovered that my sedation would not be covered. This revelation came as a shock, as the doctor inaccurately noted that I have photophobia, despite my explicit explanation of my need for sedation due to past traumatic experiences. I expressed my dissatisfaction to the customer service department, but regrettably, they have been unhelpful and unresponsive, failing to provide any resolution or address my concerns adequately. In light of my ongoing experiences, I can confidently assert that I will never set foot in Bukit Tinggi Medical Centre again. Despite the potential for excellent medical care from competent doctors, the overall management, customer service, and hospitality at this hospital leave much to be desired. The staff members have consistently demonstrated rudeness and a lack of respect towards patients. My continued stay here has only deepened my disappointment and regret in choosing this hospital for my treatment.
