Dr Ho complete lack of communication with us and the nurses, left us not knowing what to expect, and he done EMR twice on my mum which is UNACCEPTABLE. He did apologize but can sorry reverse the damage? No. Despite already having an appointment for EMR, we made an appointment a month ago, no room was booked for us before we came. When we arrived at the lounge at 9am, the admissions people had to call Dr Ho and he didn't know we were already here to check-in based on our appointment with him and asked us to go home and wait. We are from outstation not local KL folks! Admissions said we had to wait because 2 wings of the ward were under renovation...had to wait 10 hours for a room from 10am - 8pm. Only around 8pm we got a room! The EMR procedure was scheduled the next day, at 1pm and got delayed until 6pm. Then, Dr couldn't find the polyp site so had to redo and continue the next day. After fasting for 1 whole day and drinking the colon prep, Dr say have to repeat these again the next day! Totally unacceptable. So my mum had to undergo fast for 2 whole days and drink the colon prep twice! We were charged twice also. Hence, had to undergo anesthesia twice (The first anesthesia was OVERDOSED by some trainee that didn't know how much to administer, mum was groggy after the first EMR procedure ended around 7pm until 3am. This was confirmed by senior anesthetist Dr Tan who administered the 2nd day anesthesia, he is a good and competent doctor, the dosage was just right much praises to him) It was totally unacceptable to have the EMR procedure done twice, especially since it's doctors' negligence. My mum had so much trouble drinking the solution second day because she already masuk angin from the first day of fasting and tried her best to keep it in despite vomiting multiple times. Also, the colon prep solution was brought in very, very late by the nurse despite multiple reminders. The nurse in charge on the first day of admission, who needed to administer antibiotics into IV line prior to scope waiting room, was terribly incompetent, pain was absolutely bad and she was not empathetic. Prep solutions bring so late, nurse fail to understand that patients need time to drink all of that solution..and you only give 30min to finish 2L?! The nurses were also very rough in handling my mum and insertion of the lines into her hand. It was such a traumatic experience. Now have to spend more money undergoing therapy to overcome this traumatic experience.
